Data communication

Frequently asked questions

Data Communication Consulting

What material can I bring?

An analysis, chart, dashboard, report, presentation, KPI, model, technical conclusion, or other evidence-based material that an audience needs to understand and use.

Does the analysis need to be ready?

There must be enough evidence or material to support the communication. If the main problem is producing data, repairing a pipeline, certifying a metric, or performing an analysis from scratch, this is not the right product.

Is this dashboard or analytics consulting?

No. Dashboards, charts, and reports are media. The product organizes message, narrative, hierarchy, visualization, and translation between evidence and a decision.

Do you work with technical and nontechnical audiences?

Yes. The form identifies who will receive the message, where it will appear, and what that audience needs to understand, decide, or do. The communication is judged against that context.

What happens during the work?

We define the desired response, find the central message, organize the narrative, remove noise, review visual choices, and test whether the evidence truly supports the conclusion.

Will you create the final presentation or dashboard?

Review, direction, and bounded intervention may be included. Complete production, unlimited redesign, ongoing maintenance, and dashboard implementation are not automatic parts of the product.

What do I leave with?

A clearer central message, defensible hierarchy, an audience-appropriate narrative, visual recommendations, and a revision or delivery plan. The exact artifact is defined before work begins.

What if the data is confidential?

Share only authorized material. State the need for an NDA before sending protected data. We may also use anonymized examples when they retain enough evidence for the work.

Do you guarantee that the audience will accept the conclusion?

No. The consulting improves clarity, honesty, and usability; it cannot control incentives, politics, or the audience's decision. The message will not be simplified beyond what the evidence supports.

The evidence already exists. The work makes the message produce understanding, a decision, or action.
